Petros Kosmadakis, born and raised in Crete, showed his particular tendency for cookery in a very young age. He was raised among the essences of the local Cretan delicacies that dominated his home and as time went by he decided to make his dream come true by studying the art at the School of Tourism. By the age of 21, he supervised the kitchen of a hotel and then he continued his career in the field working for "Avli", a restaurant in Rethymno housed in a 15th century building.

The special love he has for Crete does not allow him to leave the island and he has chosen to stay and work on the land that produces the most fragrant herbs and taster products. The pure Cretan raw ingredients enhance the flavours he creates while he sprinkles them with his imagination and talent.

As from April 2008, he holds the post of the Executive Chef at Lato Boutique Hotel and adds his personal touch on menus created by him on behalf of Brillant Gourmet Restaurant, Herbs' Garden Restaurant and Aroma a la carte Restaurant.
